3rd International Symposium on Risk Assessment and Sustainable Stability Design of Slopes
Last Updated:2021/8/14 15:36:50

Slope disasters can be catastrophic and pose immediate threats to people and properties, leading to large socio-economic losses in the affected areas. Therefore, the research on design of slope against seismic activities to effectively mitigate risks and reduce losses due to the disasters, has attracted more and more international attention.

This international symposium is a biennial conference. It began in 2018 at Tongji University (China), and the second conference was held in 2020 at the University of Edinburgh (UK) with the title “The International Symposium on Seismic Performance and Design of Slopes (ISSPDS)”. In order to cover wider research topics of slopes, the title was changed to “The 3rd International Symposium on Risk Assessment and Sustainable Stability Design of Slopes (ISRSS)”. The symposium has been a successful platform for bringing together academic scientists, leading engineers, and students all over the world to exchange and share their experiences and research results about risk assessment and stability design of slopes.
