Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology of Charles University and ICGdR is organizing in the framework of strategical partnership with the University of St Andrews a course:

 

ADVANCED METHODS OF REMOTE SENSING FOR THE RESEARCH OF THE CRYOSPHERE

 

The course will be given by Dr. Tobias Bolch from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, UK. It is open for highly motivated PhD and Master students with fundamental knowledge of remote sensing and high mountain environment.

 

Highlights:
• General background about the response of glaciers to climate change
• Theoretical overview of methods for glacier mapping and
• Approaches for estimation of geodetic glacier mass balance
• Hands on experience with various remote sensing data sets using SAGA
• Work on own micro-project with support by the organizers
• Certificate for successful participates.
