There six special issues are open for accepting submission now. The details of each issue are listed as follows:

Geo-disasters in loess region

This special issue is a package of articles related to the geodisasters occurred in the loess region. The authors contribute to the up-to-date research achievement on the unsaturated properties of loess, the mechanism of loess landslide, the case study of other geodisasters as well as the countermeasures for the disaster control in the loess region.

Himalaya Geo-disasters

This special issue represents the up-to-date research on geo-disasters in Himalaya region. The major aims and scope of this special issue will be (but not limited to): Landslides, glaciers and glaciers lake outburst Floods, earthquakes, Flash floods, Urban geo-risk, Geo-risk in the world heritage, Geo-disaster mitigation practices, Geomorphology and paleo-geo-disasters, low cost infrastructures and geo-disasters and so on in the Himalaya region.

Post Geo-disasters of 2008.5.12 Mw8.0 Wenchuan Earthquake

The major aims and scope of this special issue will be (but not limited to): Rock avalanches, landslide dam, earthquakes, flash floods, debris flow, geo-disaster mitigation practices, low cost infrastructures, and so on in the region strongly affected by Wenchuan earthquake.

Landslide dams

This special issue represents the up-to-date research on geo-disasters associated with formation, evolution and breach of landslide dams. The major aims and scope of this special issue will be: Landslide dam- classification; geological and geomorphic conditions favorable for damming of rivers by landslides and for their preservation or failure; short and long term effects of landslide dams, including dam-break flood prediction and simulation, and river sediment flux changes as well as river morphological evolution of rivers; measures aimed to prevent or mitigate negative effects of the phenomena in question; case studies including geological, geophysical characterizations of landslide dams and related features.

Water-related Geoenvironmental Disasters under Influences of Climate Change and Human Activities

GIS-Based Hazards Mapping and Modeling for Sustainable Geoenvironment
